Descrizione
Not every stand needs four legs. Pasquale Tomaselli of Disciplina Bonsai built a tall oval frame in plane wood and let chestnut burl grow into it, so the irregular shapes of the burl become part of the structure rather than decoration added on top. The top and the cylindrical elements are chestnut.
At 40.5 cm high with a 20 × 20 cm top, it lifts a cascade, a small tree or a single accent plant towards eye level, with the burl framing the space underneath.
The wood was treated against woodworm and fungi, then finished with a light walnut stain and a satin varnish that keeps the grain readable. No two burls are alike, so this piece cannot be repeated.
Ships in a protective plywood box lined with insulating material. Lift the stand by its frame or from under the top, never by the legs, and keep it dry: water your tree somewhere else and wipe off any drops straight away. One of one.
