The Suiseki “Sentinel” is a tall, upright peak stone, its silhouette rising sharply from a wide Arenaria base to a single weathered summit. Deep vertical grooves run the length of the stone, carved by time rather than by hand, giving the piece the presence of a mountain seen from below — steep, textured, unmoved.

Shaped by Italian Ground

Drawn from Italian Arenaria, the stone’s rugged surface is the record of its own erosion: centuries of exposure folded into ridges and fissures that catch the light differently from every angle. Set upright on a handcrafted wooden daiza, “Sentinel” is displayed the way it was found — as a peak, not a boulder.
