Pablo Zorrilla de San Martín

Pablo Zorrilla de San Martín has always been closely connected to the arts, a natural affinity nurtured by his family background. Over a decade ago, he began his journey into the world of bonsai, actively participating in a specialised school and cultivating his own trees. This practice awakened not only a deep passion for living art, but also brought him face to face with a practical challenge: the shortage of suitable pots to match the aesthetic expression of his trees.

Driven by this need—and a growing creative curiosity—Pablo turned to ceramics, taking part in various workshops in his city and gradually developing a strong and personal practice. This exploration soon evolved into a new vocation: designing and handcrafting pots specifically for bonsai.

Over time, his work has become highly specialised, focusing on pots made entirely by hand using traditional methods from slabs of clay. Each piece is unique, conceived as a dialogue between form, texture, and living containment—always seeking to complement and enhance the character of the tree.

Born from love and a deep commitment to bonsai, his work has earned recognition in the field of living art, and today can be found in collections and spaces that value the fusion of nature, craftsmanship, and aesthetic sensitivity.
