The first one.

In 2021 we put thirty-two trees into a bracket and asked the internet to decide. There was no format to follow, no precedent, and no real reason to think anyone would care. Enough people did that we ran it again the year after, and every year since.

Andrei Darusenkov took the first edition with a Fagus sylvatica. He would win the second one too, and end up judging the fourth.

A2, printed in Italy on recycled birch paper, in a limited run. Sold unframed.
