Bonsai Stand n.8 – “Crescent”

Description

Two levels, one curve. Pasquale Tomaselli of Disciplina Bonsai built this display from Italian walnut: a flat base and a raised top joined by a sweeping arc of slender round rods. He worked the wood so the small cracks and irregularities of the board stay visible instead of being filled.

Total height is 51.5 cm. The top (28 × 24.5 cm) takes a small tree or a cascade; the base below (24 × 24.5 cm) holds an accent plant or a stone, so the two read as one display.

Treated against pests and fungi, then finished with a warm brown walnut stain and a satin varnish.

Ships in a protective plywood box lined with insulating material. Lift the stand by its frame or from under the top, never by the legs, and keep it dry: water your tree somewhere else and wipe off any drops straight away. One of one.
