Bonsai Stand n.7 – “Drum”

Description

The edges of this stand were hammered, not sanded smooth. Pasquale Tomaselli of Disciplina Bonsai made it entirely from plane wood and worked the profiles and legs with a hammered texture that catches the light and gives the piece its weight.

The round top is 45 cm across and 2.5 cm thick, set on curved legs 22 cm high. It suits a medium-sized tree that wants a round, grounded base, a broadleaf in a drum pot for example.

The wood was treated against fungi and pests, impregnated with a dark wengé-brown stain and sealed with a satin varnish.

Ships in a protective plywood box lined with insulating material. Lift the stand by its frame or from under the top, never by the legs, and keep it dry: water your tree somewhere else and wipe off any drops straight away. One of one.
